Empentis has a new logo?
Today we are launching our new logo, as well as refreshing the Empentis website in general. While change is inevitable and something to be embraced, we are changing Empentis’ look for a major reason. It doesn’t represent who we are.
What was the problem with the old Empentis logo?
THE LOGO WAS CREATED BEFORE LAUNCH:
It is always hard to predict what direction a business will go and changes happen. Change in direction may take place soon after launch or a lot later down the line. Before launch, the logo did suit our needs but the direction of the business has changed since then and we need to change the logo with it.
THE LOGO IS DULL:
It has a boring black and white colour scheme that doesn’t communicate our enthusiasm as a company.
THE LOGO IS VERY STRANGE:
It looks like it was photocopied three times before being used on all of our marketing materials. An ammonite is also a strange choice for a logo that focuses on training solutions. We were unsure of how the fossil related to us as a company. We should be moving forwards, not backward!
OTHERS QUESTIONED THE LOGO:
When your clients, as well as staff, are questioning the logo choice, it’s definitely time for a change.
I didn't see the old logo, was it really that bad?
It really doesn’t reflect us as a brand, does it?
Where has this new logo come from?
Our in-house content producers, together with Fearless Creative, worked to create a new and exciting visual identity. And we’re starting with the logo.
We’ve gone the complete opposite direction with the colour palette, from back and white to a Pantone wheel of colours. You could say Empentis has grown from the ammonite seed into a colourful budding flower, reinvigorated to support apprentices and employers. It’s more refined but still keeps the curved movement of the original and this one will work better in many different places.
Over the next few months, you’ll see all the other visuals around Empentis change such as on the website, in advertising, and social media. We’re still Empentis. But with a more exciting, instantly recognisable brand.
