The EPA assesses apprentices on the skills, information, and behaviours they acquired throughout their apprenticeship programme. The assessment verifies learner proficiency and will differ depending on the apprenticeship standard.
The End-point Assessment will begin after a planning discussion with the employer, learner, trainer, and assessor. Each apprenticeship standard has its own evaluation, which might take up to three months to complete. Before commencing EPA, learners must obtain Functional Skills in English and Math (or hold a level 4 and above in GCSE maths and English or equivalent).
A typical EPA may comprise the following items:
Learners will keep records throughout the programme to refer to during the assessment time, and certain requirements may require a skill demonstration. Throughout their programme, Lifetime presents learners with several simulated End-point Assessments to help them prepare.
Depending on the criterion, the learner might receive a pass, merit, distinction, or fail grade.
