The Apprenticeship Wage is Increasing

Previous Wage Rates

The following rates were for the National Living Wage and the National Minimum Wage in 2019:

• Apprentice: £3.90 per hour
• 18 – 20: £6.15 per hour
• 21 – 24: £7.70 per hour
• 25 and over: £8.21 per hour

Current Wage Rates

These are the current rates for the National Living Wage and the National Minimum Wage:

• Apprentice: £4.15 per hour
• 18 – 20: £6.45 per hour
• 21 – 24: £8.20 per hour
• 25 and over: £8.72 per hour

Hours Apprentices Are Paid For

During an apprenticeship you get paid for your normal working hours and the training that is part of your apprenticeship.
