It’s the 13th annual National Apprenticeship Week. From 3rd to 7th February, there will be a celebration of apprenticeships across England to recognise apprentices and applaud their success. Employers can use the opportunity to promote their apprentices, their successes, and the benefits of hiring an apprentice.
Apprentices will celebrate throughout the week with engagement and events in schools and colleges. Many current and former apprentices go back to their school to tell their story. This attracts the next generation of apprentices.
Teachers and parents are also being asked to join in this week. Teachers are encouraged to join the Big Assembly broadcast and host a parents evening with experts, current apprentices, and parents of apprentices. Parents are encouraged to share their experiences of having a child complete an apprenticeship and the benefits their child has seen from the course. This could be at a local school, social media, or workplace.
